Adam Blampied’s debut screenplay was selected out of over 1000 eligible entries by a panel including Roman Coppola, Chloe Sevigny and the The Directors Bureau as one of four shorts to be made as part of Four Stories a competition sponsored and created by W Hotels and Intel Ultrabook Experience. Adam’s short, Eugene, was made by hugely talented director Spencer Susser. Roman Coppola said of Adam’s screenplay “The script had a surrealism and intensity that stood out amongst the others. I found it appealing that the story was adventurous and the conclusion can’t be predicted.”
Tuesday night was the London premiere of all four wonderful films at the Prince Charles Cinema. Adam joined Roman Coppola, Lee Toland Kreiger, Robert Schwartzman, Naomi Scott and Margarita Kallas on the Q&A panel hosted by Mark Kermode. Eugene has already had some critical acclaim, with Kate Muir, chief film critic at The Times naming it as her favourite. You can watch Eugene and the other shorts here .
